JWS swim briefs are built for regular wear in the water. A few simple care habits will help protect the colour, elasticity and shape for longer.
Rinse thoroughly in cool, fresh water as soon as practical after swimming. Chlorine, salt and sunscreen can gradually break down swimwear fibres and affect colour, so removing residue quickly helps preserve the fabric.
Gently press out excess water or roll the briefs in a clean towel. Avoid twisting or wringing the fabric, as repeated stretching can damage the elastic fibres.
Lay them flat away from direct sunlight. Extended UV exposure while drying can fade colours and reduce the life of elastic fibres.
Hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent is the gentlest option. Avoid bleach, fabric softener and harsh cleaning products, as these can damage stretch fibres and affect colour.
Use a cold, gentle cycle and place the briefs inside a mesh laundry bag. Wash with similar colours and avoid garments with exposed zips, hooks or velcro that may catch the fabric.
Heat can damage elastic fibres and shorten the life of swimwear. Air dry instead.
Drying in the shade helps reduce colour fading and fabric degradation.
Concrete, rough pool decking and timber can snag or abrade the fabric. Sit on a towel where possible.
Allow swimwear to dry completely before storing to help prevent odour and mildew.
If you're swimming regularly, rotating between multiple pairs gives each one time to dry fully and recover between wears. Combined with proper rinsing and washing, this can help your swimwear maintain its shape and appearance for longer.
Care instructions for JOURNEY tees and other apparel can vary by garment and print method. Always follow the care instructions shown on the individual product page or garment label. For direct-to-garment printed apparel, washing cold and inside out and avoiding high heat will generally help preserve the print.
